Horizon Europe Program Expanding Participation and Diffusion of Excellence In the call for Twinning 2021, the ‘REGENEU’ project with a budget of 1.4 million euros was entitled to be supported by the European Commission.
As part of the study, partnerships were formed with strong research teams operating at the Fraunhofer Institute and Wuerzburg University Hospital in Germany and Trinity College Dublin in Ireland.
The coordinator of the project, Prof. Dr. Meltem Demirel Kars stated that with the REGENEU project, they aim to spread scientific excellence and expand participation in Horizon Europe projects. Prof. Dr. Meltem Demirel Kars said that “They basically aim to increase the scientific excellence in biomaterial production and to develop local products that may have wound healing potential, as well as to support young researchers by receiving training in the project, and to disseminate excellence to Necmettin Erbakan University, one of the strongest universities in Europe”.
